Tirzepatide Outperforms Semaglutide in Head-to-Head Obesity Trial
The glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists semaglutide and tirzepatide have both shown efficacy for obesity management. In clinical trials for the individual drugs, tirzepatide—which is also a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor agonist—resulted in more weight loss on average than semaglutide did.
